Vacation Up North

This is Alec's new breakfast favorite, bread, nothing else on it!

We had so much fun going up north to the cottage for a few days. We just relaxed and destress. It may have been cold but it didn't stop Alec from enjoying the sun and water.

This is the fish Alec caught with his spider man fishing rod! He wanted nothing to do with it. It was his first time fishing!

Alec's first time bowling, he had fun!

Cut that Mohawk Down

When you can have this high of a Mohawk on your SONS head you know it is time for a hair cut. I think I finally convinced Jonny as Alec was blowing air up his face to move his bangs. He goes tonight!

Toddler to Twaddler

So Mr. Alec made the big transition at school... he moved from "Toddler" room to "Twaddler". I don't really know where the name Twaddler came from but I think it has been a great move for him. He has two buddies RJ and Nate, everything revolves around these two, when he plays with the phone he is always calling one or the other. They have moved up with him. It is so cute to hear their little voices say "Me go Twaddler" they just love the room. Essentially, Toddler is for the kids just learning to walk while Twaddler is for those running and needing more stimulation/watching. It is amazing to see what a difference there actually is in the kids at this level.

With Twaddler room came an unexpected surprise... the abandonment of the binky a.k.a. the pacifier. Whenever he thought he might get left in Toddler and not taken to Twaddler he would immediately give it up. So this weekend when he "lost" it in the middle of the night while sleeping it didn't really bother him. On my way back to Detroit from Cleveland I sent Jon and Grandma on a mission to collect all the binkys. Three in my glove compartment, one hidden in a dresser, one in Jon's car, two in a kitchen cupboard... and now he is a officially binky free today will be day 3! He is being great about it and didn't even try to steal Lyla's during Evan's party. We have such a big boy!

Finally

Well I finally did it and took Mr. Alec to get his 2 year pictures. If you are waiting on a thank you card from his party they will get in the mail as soon as we get the pics, not until the end of the month. But they did give me a picture CD. Enjoy!!! He was such a ham, he would smile for the first picture and then the lightbulb would go off and he would laugh so hard, luckily the photographer was able to get it.

Happy 2nd Birthday Alec

Hey everyone, Alec here. Guess what... I'm 2. I had such a fun birthday. I loved opening my presents with each one I took it to Daddy and exclaimed "Open It". Tractors, Mickey, books, bowling, cars... oh my. I love my riding tractor too. Thank you so much for all my presents and for everyone that traveled up or over to see me. At the end of the day only a book from Uncle Matthew would do.

So it has been a very busy almost two months since our last post. We are doing pretty well and enjoying the summer with our little boy. Check him out.

Daddy and Alec made a huge cho cho train which when Alec say it, it is "Poo Poo Train".
