Happy Birthday Evan

It was Evan's Birthday this past weekend and we had lots of fun.  Pauline made an adorable Sponge Bob cake.  We got Evan Moon Sand, he had been asking for it for two years.  It is very much like play-do but sandy.  He was all smiles when he opened it but didn't want to play at all with it, oh well he's a kid.  On Sunday Grandma and Grandpa watched little man so that we could go to a movie.  I think I did very well, except next time we'll see a movie I want to see.  I would not recommend Pineapple Express.

Birthday Boy Evan

This was too cute to not post, Burke with the new soccer ball.

OK the hat is bigger than his head!!

Yeah for moon sand!!!

Some random tummy time pics, Mr. Man is so strong...

Uncle Will stopped by to have a taste of fatherhood.  Congrats you two!! We can't wait!

Cleveland Or Bust!

So this weekend Alec and I took a trip to Cleveland.  My Grandpa Bedore flew in from Green Bay.  The last time I saw him was at our wedding four years ago so I had to jump at the chance, plus my mom and dad were begging for Alec.  He was wonderful on the drive, he wanted his pacifier twice (thank God for long arms) and he ate once.

Grandpa absolutely loved Alec and Alec loved all the visitors he had.  Grandpa was full of
stories.  He had fun telling us, especially my brother Matthew, about his romantic conquests, WWII, building all the homes in the Soo, all the trouble my dad use to get into, it was a blast.  This was the first time that the both of us were old enough to really appreciate it and I know that he liked that. Just to rag on my brother, Grandpa held the baby more than my brother and he's 85!!  Hayden had lots of fun with Grandpa, they were tickling each other... it was nice to see him warm up to Grandpa.  Hayden was also the birthday boy of the weekend!
For the sorority girls reading, you will remember me telling countless stories and worries over my beautiful neice Brittney.  Here she is, she absolutely adored Alec.  Brittney is doing great about to get a car and start community college.  Good luck Britt, we have all the faith in the world that you will accomplish everything that you set your mind too.  Britt's sister Dana did not like Alec one bit, this was the closest she got to him all weekend.  It is either because he's a boy or that she is no longer the baby.

Here is the funny poop story from the weekend...  I shared a bed with my Mom since things were tight with all the visitors.  One morning my Mom thought she would give me a little break and change Alec while I was waking up.  I'm lying in bed and all of a sudden I hear a couple farts and them my Mom exclaim "NO... Help".  Alec let loose all over my Mom, their floor, the dog bed and their comforter.  It took three of us to clean up the mess and my Mom was selective on what diapers she changed after that.

Waitin'

I'm waiting... waiting for my son to wake up from his nap... waiting for his daddy to come home from "work"... waiting for a website to come up to pay some bills... waiting for the camera to recharge so I can post some more pictures...  waiting for my dad to send some of the beautiful pictures he took this weekend.  We had such a wonderful time in Cleveland with the entire Bedore crew.  My grandpa was awesome and full of countless stories...  I'll write more once we get pictures...

Still waiting... here is a picture of Kevin that matches my current sentiment...

Happy 1 Month Birthday

We had sooo much fun at Beaumont Hospital when Alec was born that we decided to visit on his one month birthday... for mommy, not Alec.  Unfortunately, a few of my stitches didn't dissolve completely and my incision is infected, not very fun.  Of course I have it all documented on camera.  They were very nice and got us in and out within  3 hours and gave us a private little room so Alec wouldn't be exposed to the nasty germs of the world, we also had three layers protecting him from the outside air.  Poor daddy doesn't know what to do with me, but his love and help with Alec are getting us through.
Here is a picture of Alec in a shirt Nana got him to document, through pictures, his growth for his first year.  It is a 12 month shirt and Alec was not too happy about the picture.  Alec loves you Nana and can't wait to be spoiled by you.

The Chronicles of Alec's Last Week

I was hoping to get these pictures out in a much more timely fashion but of course Little Man has me running around.

Last week we had a big outing to Costco with Aunt Pauline and then went to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner, it was very yummy (and I love not cooking).
We also met up with Aunt Laura at the village of Rochester Hills.  It has been so beautiful out so we try to get out whenever possible.  Then on Saturday we had a picnic in the park with Woody.  It just happened to be Bark in the Park day too, lots of doggies.  Alec also started some tummy time, although he's not all that interested yet.

This week we are visiting Dr. Rosie, we'll get Alec's results posted soon.  If Mommy feels better we will also head to Cleveland to see Great Grandpa Bedore.  Next week we might head to Mommy's work.

Visitors From Afar

My Aunt Cathy (Mommy's sister) and my Aunt Ro Ro (Mommy's BF from HS) came to visit.  We had so much fun.  I got to be held all the time, they were fighting over me... now ladies there is enough of me to go around.

Here I am chillin' with Aunt Ro Ro.

I loved nappin' with Aunt Cathy
