Christmas Cheer

What a wonderful Christmas. Well I have finally returned and have slept four straight nights at home. There really is no place like home. I had tons of fun visiting Cleveland, of course I didn’t get enough time with anyone person but at least I was able to recharge my need for family lovin’. We got to visit with Jonny’s half brother Whitt over the weekend and got lots of time with the Sheard family.

Christmas day was nice and relaxing. It was great to see the boys so excited, they were NUTS! I made my now traditional dinner of Prime Rib and Lasagna. Odd combination, I know, but it just isn’t Christmas without Lasagna.

While I returned to work on Wednesday Jonny was busy working on our master bath. Things were starting to look good until Jon and his dad removed the shower base. The wonderful handy-man before us put particle board under the base which of course was moldy and had disintegrated. So after sleeping in our spare room for the night, the well rested Jon will be assessing the damage and coming up with a repair plan today. At least we know the job will get done right. While Jon is busy with the bathroom I have cleaning to do, trying to make room for the baby stuff that will be flooding into the house in the not so distant future. We have a busy weekend ahead GLI Hockey MTU vs MSU or aka Olympia Room Alumni Reunion, Jon’s sister’s family is coming up for a visit, Brynn’s Pre-New Years Party, perhaps Kim and Ryan’s New Years party and hopefully some fun time relaxing too!

BELLY ALERT: Not too much to write about, although today is the first day that I did the rubber band trick on my pants. This pair is just a tad bit tight. Carol got me an excellent Christmas present of Bath and Body Works Shea Butter products to keep the stretch marks at bay ;)

So glad we finally got to chat! I'm so happy for you and Jon! Drink lots of water, get plenty of rest and enjoy peaceful restaurant meals while you can!

Lots of Love and Prayers!
